Insurance Policy Exclusively for Women
Women health issues are different as compared to men. Unfortunately, few insurance policies are tailored to cater to the necessities of women. Most women spend the majority of their lives juggling between home and office which leaves them with little or no time for themselves. They are so caught up in looking after their families that their own health issues become the last priority.
Generally, women are more vulnerable to health issues especially after the age of 40. It has been noted that the incidence of critical ailments such as arthritis, irregular blood pressure, diabetes and cancer is higher in women. and so forth. Women are even more susceptible to bone-related disorders and reproductive disorders.
It needs to be understood that only when a woman is in good health, then only she can secure the health of her family. Considering these facts, women also need a medical insurance and the policy should satisfy their specific health needs. Eventually, a woman’s good health condition not only affects its present but also the health of her children. Some issues also appear in the post-pregnancy period which may persist may long time.
Women are at a higher risk when it comes to breast cancer, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), stroke, cardiovascular diseases and obesity.
Breast Cancer and PCOS are becoming a widespread problem nowadays. The main reason is the paradigm shift in lifestyle. Working women find little time to take care of them. It results in negligence of various health symptoms that should be diagnosed and treated early.
Insurance companies have understood the fact and they have started designing plans that are serious towards the needs of women. Some insurers offer in-built maternity plans, though it’s not very extensive.
